Herring Bridge Highly Commended at British Construction Industry Awards
Herring Bridge in Great Yarmouth, which was constructed by BAM Farrans JV for Norfolk County Council, has taken home a highly commended certificate at the prestigious British Construction Industry Awards in the Transport Project of the Year category.
The judges said: “Having a significant place-changing impact for Great Yarmouth by removing HGVs from the town centre. This project didn’t just deliver a landmark structure as we were very impressed by the focus on social value, apprenticeships and engagement with young people as well as providing local employment.”
The British Construction Industry Awards are run in partnership with the Institution of Civil Engineers and New Civil Engineer.

Farrans was also shortlisted in the Community Impact Initiative of the Year for our social value programme at Gull Wing bridge in Lowestoft.
