Simple two page descriptions
The Blueprint initiative is a process we use for developing and implementing the best way of doing things on site. Throughout the duration of a project, our management team document and chart operating procedures and practices. The information collected from one project is cross referenced with other projects to identify best practice methods or techniques.
We then create “Blueprints” – simple two page descriptions of techniques, equipment, processes or materials that have been proven on two or more projects to provide an advantage in terms of construction, cost, time, efficiency and quality. The blueprints are hosted on our intranet site and tagged for use on future projects of a similar nature.
Project Managers are issued with blueprints and tasked with managing their implementation to ensure best practices are adhered to. It’s another example of Farrans relentless drive for continuous performance improvement.
