Managing performance   

Focus is a meaningful performance management tool designed to help our Commercial Management Team achieve the company’s FEED, LEAN and Commercial targets around waste, cost, time and quality.

On a monthly basis the team meet to:

  • Review the previous month’s performance against the targets
  • Highlight factors that have increased performance or had an adverse effect
  • Pinpoint areas for improvement and plan ways to uplift performance
  • Set new commercial objectives for the month ahead

Focus also has a development planning process that helps the commercial managers to set goals for their own personal development and work out their training and learning needs. 

Mentoring process

To support the managers in achieving their key objectives we have implemented a new Mentoring Process within Focus. Experienced people within the company have received formal training in mentoring and are now better placed to deliver invaluable support in a highly effective way.  

The new mentoring process enables the mentors to help our managers take effective responsibility for the ongoing planning, implementation and evaluation of his/her performance and career development.

Focus is a proven method for supporting the continued professional development of our people and gives our clients reassurance that we have put effective measures in place to safeguard the delivery of their projects, in particular with relation to programme.
