The Farrans-built Chichester Free School has been praised in recent weeks after receiving a number of awards and nominations at both regional and national level, celebrating the former Carmelite convent which has been transformed into a state-of-the-art free school.
The project recently received 'High Commendation' within the Public & Community category at the Heritage Trust Awards in Sussex which recognises the impact of projects in bettering community facilities and culture.
Chichester Free School project has also been shortlisted for a prestigious SPACES Award, within the category of ‘Annual Civic Building of the Year’.
SPACES is a collaborative organisation for those in the building professions connected to the public sector. It is committed to attaining the highest standards of development, design, construction and management within the public sector.
Finally – and affirming the Chichester project as an outstanding one – the school has been shortlisted for ‘Project of the Year’ at this year’s Education Estates Awards.
