Farrans clinched not just one but two gold Considerate Constructor Scheme (CCS) awards at ceremonies held last week.
The Altnagelvin North Wing Redevelopment project received top marks from CCS following the assessment process, with our ‘Mates in Mind’ Mental Health Awareness initiative praised as being particularly innovative.
Civil Engineering Contracts Manager, Brian McCool, and Building Contracts Manager, Declan Doherty, both praised their teams for the achievement.
“This is an excellent result at the CCS awards,” Declan commented.
“Thank you to everyone for the effort put in to achieve this amazing result. There is a lot of work which goes on behind the scenes through everyone working as a team in order to make this happen!”
The Altnagelvin North Wing Redevelopment project is set to provide circa 14000m2 of new inpatient ward accommodation, including 144 bed spaces and associated ward support facilities.
With Phase 1 now complete, the project will ensure inpatient treatment and care is provided in a modern environment, supporting staff and promoting patient recovery.
The A6 Dualling Scheme is being delivered on behalf of the Department for Infrastructure as part of a flagship investment to strengthen the links between Belfast and Derry.
Farrans is part of the Joint Venture team upgrading more than 14km of the transport corridor between Randalstown and Castledawson. Works are expected to be completed by 2021.
