Farrans’ Brentwood Town Hall project was the site for the Ivor Goodsite 2018 Hoarding Competition recently, with pupils focusing their artwork projects on the theme of “Saving Our Planet”.
A total of thirty Year 5 students took part in the exciting project, brightening up the hoarding around the iconic redevelopment of the Town Hall in Brentwood, Essex.
Pupils developed their design from pencil outlines to mock drawings to final design and were delighted with the colourful results - as well as the fact of getting to learn something in the process!
Farrans continue to work closely with Holly Trees Primary School in order to raise the profile of environmental awareness, in line with one of Farrans' strategic objectives and the school's learning topics.
Projects tat the primary school to reinforce this to date have included the integration of bird boxes to the school and a number of interactive ‘green’ workshops.
The environmentally-friendly approach comes in the wake of Farrans’ commendation within the CIEEM Awards, with Farrans shortlisted in the 'Innovation in Education' category due to the success of our environmental workshops within Avanti School.
Well done to all involved as we continue to advocate respect and care for the environment on every project we undertake.
