Farrans recently set a new industry record for the highest number of delegates to be conferred at one ceremony with the Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB).
Ten Farrans staff recently obtained their new professional status, with 9 of the successful delegates attending the recent ceremony in the Titanic Quarters, Belfast.
Encouraging, pursuing and achieving professional accreditation is something that we have always done well at Farrans.
Farrans is proud to be currently affiliated with a number of professional bodies, reflecting the diversity of skillset across the business. These range from CIOB and ICE to Engineers Ireland and the Pipeline Industries Guild.
In the past two years and in line with Farrans’ internal Professional Development Programme, 15 employees have become new Members (MCIOB), whilst 18 employees have become new Fellows (FCIOB).
Championing Females in Construction
Farrans has also continued to lead the charge when it comes to championing females in construction.
7 of the 9 Farrans delegates who completed the CIOB Construction Management Programme (CMP) in September were females.
This follows on from the achievement of Farrans Community Engagement Manager, Brigid McGuigan, who became a CIOB Fellow earlier this year.
Brigid, who does not have a traditional construction background but has studied and lectured in Business Studies, received widespread praise for attaining FCIOB status.
She is now one of just 6 females throughout Ireland to have attained the accreditation.
