Farrans were in attendance last Wednesday 27th November for the official opening of the Montrose Port Authority North Quay Refurbishment.
Farrans' Managing Director Dominic Lavery and Scottish Contracts Manager Neil McDonald attended the ceremony along with many other stakeholders, port residents, supply chain and local school pipeband.
The current CEO Tom Hutchison and Chairman John Carmichael opened the upgraded quay and celebrated the current investment which had enhanced the capability for the port to attract larger vessels.
Farrans completed the Civils works in September this year and the berths were put to use immediately after completion.
The latest works have been completed ahead of schedule after 14 months on site and to the budget set out by the client.
This recent contract is a continuation of an excellent relationship with the Port which has seen Farrans undertaking or upgrading the quay side for Montrose over the last 10 years.
This continuation has build up a good level of trust and understanding with the client and Arch Henderson.
