New video tells the construction story of Govan to Partick bridge in Glasgow

The Govan to Partick Bridge, which was constructed by Farrans for Glasgow City Council, opened in Glasgow in September 2024.

Now the project team tell their story of how the fabricated steel cable stayed opening swing bridge came to life.

The £29.5million Glasgow City Region City Deal project – funded by the Scottish and UK Governments – re-established the historic connection between Govan and Partick, with the pedestrian and cycle bridge crossing between Water Row on the south side and Pointhouse Quay on the north.
